Our Beginnings
… From the houses of parliament to the rolling hills of Montgomery…
We’re Rhys and Dan, two mates from mid Wales. At the height of summer 2020 (and in the depths of the pandemic) in a deserted pub on a boat opposite the houses of parliament, we had a ridiculous idea: when things are a bit more normal, why don’t we try and help as many people as we can have great times in fields?
We were both stuck in London working in a factory when we’d normally be spending summer working on the festival circuit, and we vowed that we shouldn’t take fun for granted ever again. We saved up enough for a tipi and a sound system, built a bar and started putting events on.
‘Mikata su casa’ was born.
Since then it’s been a rollercoaster ride. We’ve followed the party to every corner of the UK, driven more miles and hauled more canvases than we care to remember, and been part of many, many people’s special days, nights and weekends. We’re now entering our fourth season as a team, and we plan to be doing this for many more!
